Our Boats
We are very proud of our hire fleet with boats suitable for all groups from 2-12 people. You are welcome to visit any time, but remember our boats could be on hire, so please phone first to ensure the craft you wish to view is available.
Our boats are built here in Braunston by craftsmen that know their trade. The hulls are built on traditional fine lines, making them easy to handle and the interiors are designed by our cabinet maker, ensuring excellent use of space and quality fittings. We believe that outdoor space is important, which is why our all our hire boats have large front decks with seating and tables, alongside our semi trad rear decks where children and dogs can safely join it the fun. They are fully equipped, and immaculately maintained ensuring you have an enjoyable, safe holiday.
Our Three Barney Boats
Many people consider the Barney Boat to be the modern “classic” narrow boat. Barney boats hold a simple and straight forward layout, with exceptional amounts of storage space including a useful front cover on the foredeck. These boats are especially popular with boating enthusiasts for their many practical, classic features including the extended hatchway, slow revving engine, solid fuel fire (fuel included), superb handling characteristics as well as the attractive traditional painted decorations. Wrekin, Cheviot and Malvern are some of our busiest boats in the fleet so please book early to avoid disappointment. These boats are only available to hire at Union Canal Carriers.
